World Health Day is a reminder that health is a right, not a privilege. April 7th is a day to draw attention to specific public health issues, such as mental health, diabetes, and environmental risks going on globally.

These organizations are on the front lines of community health, providing affordable, culturally competent care to the neighborhoods that need it most.

Esperanza Health Centers

Esperanza provides bilingual, high-quality primary care, behavioral health and wellness services regardless of immigration status, insurance status, or ability to pay, with five sites on the Southwest Side serving over 35,000 patients annually.

Lawndale Christian Health Center (LCHC)

LCHC promotes wellness and provides quality, affordable healthcare for Lawndale and neighboring communities, serving more than 60,000 patients.

Erie Family Health Centers

Erie offers full primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services, with some locations also providing HIV/AIDS care and podiatry.

Alivio Medical Center

Alivio Medical Center provides a wide range of healthcare services with an emphasis on maternal and child health.

Old Irving Park Community Clinic (OIPCC)

OIPCC is a free clinic that offers culturally competent medical and behavioral health care to uninsured adults.

Chicago Women's Health Center

Chicago Women's Health Center provides access to health care and education in a respectful environment where people pay what they can afford, serving women and trans people.

Bridgeport Free Clinic

Organized by University of Chicago medical students, Bridgeport Free Clinic offers free care to the uninsured, especially serving the Asian community.
